Somatic Bodywork

Somatic Bodywork is a hands-on, trauma-aware and nervous system-informed approach that supports regulation of the nervous system and the release of physical and emotional tension held within the body.

This work is grounded in the understanding that the body holds implicit memory, which can shape our nervous system state, posture, movement, thoughts, behaviours, and the ways we relate to ourselves and others.

Through guided breathwork, hands-on techniques, and grounded presence, the body is supported to soften, allowing physical tension and held emotions to gradually unwind.

Recognising that trauma is often relational, these sessions support the nervous system through experiences of co-regulation, emotional attunement and reflective presence.

Functional Physical Therapy

Functional Physical Therapy integrates nervous system awareness, breath, and movement mechanics with somatic awareness to support reduced pain, injury rehabilitation and improved movement capacity.

This approach works with how to

  • breathe (breath mechanics)

  • move (biomechanics)

supporting greater efficiency, awareness, and ease within the body. Attention is given to both structure and sensation, supporting a clearer understanding of how the body develops protective patterns and compensation strategies in response to physical pain, injury, and experiences of emotional stress or trauma.
